2008 Conversations in the Round
St. Anne’s School of Annapolis hosted its 2008 Conversations in the Round on February 21, 2008. The Conversations in the Round series focused on “The Language of Listening: Learning to Engage.” The topic came from the belief that despite the busyness of our lives, we can’t escape the hunger we feel to live in a more civil world, to increase our skills of speaking and listening, to share with one another our deepest feelings and to “be of use” in making a difference in the world. St. Anne’s School assembled leaders in business, politics and education to explore the powerful Language of Listening.
Doug Holladay, equity investor, theologian and advisor to the white House, CEOs and world leaders
William Brock, former U.S. Senator, Secretary of Labor and a leader in national education reform
