our fourth grade program
Music
Fourth Grade students have Music twice a week for 30 minutes and a 45-minute chorus period once a week. In both individual and group settings, Fourth Graders acquire knowledge, skills and an appreciation for music. Students begin to use the soprano recorder to aid in note reading and musical understanding. In Fourth Grade, students’ music skills are more highly developed, as is their willingness to express themselves. By creating, understanding and enjoying music, Fourth Graders will be able to express their emotions through music and to explore their own unique voices.
